The Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) board of trustees has named James H. Johnson Jr., Ph.D., a member of the board of trustees at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), the college's interim president starting July 1.
"I’ve seen firsthand Dr. Johnson’s commitment and passion for students and equity in higher education,” said Dr. Dawn Lindsay, president of AACC. “BCCC is lucky to have an experienced, savvy leader to help them through this transition.”
Johnson will be on a four-month leave of absence from AACC starting July 1. He plans to return by Nov. 1. In addition to his 12 years on AACC’s board, including three years as chair, Johnson is a member of the Severn Savings Bank’s board of directors.
