Have questions about your career path? Need some advice and guidance as you explore careers?

Talk with a mentor!

The Sarbanes Center for Career and Civic Engagement connects students with an AACC faculty/staff volunteer who can provide one-on-one guidance on navigating through college and into employment. Career conversations with a mentor can help students:

  • Explore career paths.
  • Acquire career-related knowledge, advice and experiences.
  • Build a professional network.
  • Connect with additional resources.
  • Gain confidence and excitement in moving forward in your career journey.

To get started, register with AACC’s College Central Network. Once you are registered, go to the main dashboard, click on Career Mentoring Network and then Begin Search at the bottom of the page to connect with a mentor.

For information, or if you have questions, email the Sarbanes Center at careercenter@aacc.edu

Faculty and Staff

Interested in becoming a part of the career mentoring network?

The Sarbanes Center welcomes volunteers who are interested in engaging in career conversations with students. Volunteer mentors will receive training to help students as they raise questions about career choices and seek to build connections with industry employers, experienced professionals and others who can answer their questions and refer them to additional AACC resources. Volunteers are required to attend a one-hour training prior to registering as a mentor. Email the Sarbanes Center at careercenter@aacc.edu to learn more and request a training session.
