College Algebra

Review basic algebra. Study linear, quadratic, exponential and logarithmic functions with applications; systems of linear equations; matrices; linear programming; and business applications. Prerequisite: Achieving an appropriate score on the mathematics part of the ACT or SAT, or scoring at an appropriate level on the Mathematics Placement Test, or completion of MAT 012 or MAT 012E or MAT 013 with a grade of at least C. Note: MAT 131 is an algebra course open to those not majoring in mathematics, engineering or the physical sciences. Credit is not given for both MAT 131 and MAT 121 or MAT 131 and MAT 151.
