If you want to take a credit course just for fun – maybe you already have a degree or established career – you may want to consider auditing that course.

Students who audit a course do not receive a grade or academic credit. If you audit a course, you are under no obligation for regular attendance, preparation, recitation or examination.

Audited courses are excluded from your grade point average, but do appear on your transcript. Regular tuition and fees apply, but no financial aid or VA benefits can be awarded.

You still need to register in order to audit a course. In MyAACC, find and select your course, then choose “Audit” in the drop-down action box. If you’re registering using the paper form, write “Audit” in the action field of your registration form.
