Children in Child Development Center
AACC has decided to permanently close its Child Development Center.

After reviewing and weighing many options, we determined that the program is not a sustainable model and made the tough but responsible choice to close the center. We regret the inconvenience this may cause and will miss the sight of young children on campus. Please know we are doing everything we can to meet our mission by continuing to provide the highest quality education to you and our community.

We know this decision comes at a difficult time for all of us and will impact some students and employees negatively. Please review the list of resources below to assist in this transition. You may direct additional questions to vplss@aacc.edu

Child Care Resources

Maryland Family Network
Maryland families can search online for center-based and family child care opportunities that are licensed in the state. Families also can use the network's free, personalized service. For the free service, contact a child care referral specialist Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m. at 877-261-0060. A referral specialist can help identify child care options based on your family’s specific needs.

Maryland EXCELS
This program allows families to check quality ratings for child care programs in Maryland. Other parent resources are also available.

Maryland Child Care Scholarship
The Child Care Scholarship (CCS) program, formerly known as Child Care Subsidy, provides financial assistance with child care costs to eligible working families in Maryland. The program is managed through a centralized vendor, Child Care Subsidy Central.

Military Child Care Assistance
Child Care Aware of America is a source of information for programs offering child care tuition assistance for active duty military in the Army, Marine Corp, Navy and Air Force. They also maintain a Parent Services Hotline at 800-424-2246 option 3.
