AACC’s Canvas environment has been placed into maintenance mode while the situation is investigated.
Do not attempt to log into Canvas (web or mobile). Even if the AACC Canvas site appears accessible, do not access it until we explicitly confirm it is safe to do so.
Out of an abundance of caution, all users will be asked to change their passwords before Monday at noon. After that time, you will be prompted to change. We understand that this comes at a critical time of year and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. If you need assistance, please contact the Technical Service Desk for assistance.

Canvas is currently unavailable due to a nationwide security issue. Do not attempt to log into Canvas until further notice. AACC's IIT team is working to resolve the matter and will provide updates as available.
Until further notice, do NOT attempt to log in to Canvas and do NOT enter your Canvas username or password on any platform (even if it looks like you can access it). This applies to all students, employees and other users.

We recognize that there are immediate deadlines related to Canvas. AACC will put a pause on all such deadlines until further notice. This includes assignments, projects, grades, exams and other end-of-semester work completed in Canvas for students and faculty. In-person classes and activities should meet as scheduled.
Please be aware that this nationwide event continues to unfold. AACC will be working diligently to develop and share a clear plan of action for the end of the spring semester. We ask for your continued patience as we work through solutions to this urgent matter.

AACC has been made aware of a nationwide security incident involving Canvas, the college’s learning management system.
This appears to be a broader national incident involving Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, with potential impact across multiple institutions.
At this time, AACC has not been notified of any direct impact to our college community. Canvas remains available and operational for faculty, staff, and students.
IIT is actively monitoring updates from Instructure, reviewing any potential impact to college services or student data, and coordinating with appropriate internal partners. We will continue to assess the situation and provide additional updates when new information becomes available.
