AACC Theater Black Box Series

Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM - Arnold - - Humanities 112

This evening features a series of short plays written, designed, acted and directed by students.

Hosted by the Overcast Improv Troupe.

The playwrights:

“Burnt Eggs” by Kaleb Benson:
Two brothers clash over their father's decline, one demanding intervention, the other committed to fidelity. In their deadlock, the real erosion becomes visible.

“Life Alert” by Olivia Comeau
Four cousins inherit a house from their controversial uncle. Whilst going through his things, they discover an unexpected gift he left for them.

“Read = Dead” by Sophina Nunes
This is a knee-slapping comedy that follows three middle school girls and their experience being ghosted by the dreamy, charming jock, Brad.

“Grief for Dummies” by Bree Wiley
A 10-minute play about what happens to those left behind after a loved one has passed. It is about the emotional responses, both fair and unfair, that some might struggle to contend with, particularly when a death is expected, but still tragic.

Ticket information is online at Eventbrite.
