Section Info: Omalley Senior Center | Romantic Composers Part 2 | Explore the evolution from Classical to Romantic music through the works of composers including Giacomo Puccini, Franz Liszt, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Antonn Dvork. Through video presentations with English translations, students examine how historical, political, and philosophical changes shaped Romantic-era music and artistic expression.

Section Info: Pascal Senior Center | Fundamentals of Ukulele | Learn ukulele fundamentals. Explore a brief history of the ukulele, fundamentals of basic music theory, forms of notation, chord chart reading, major scales and music history with related information of the basics of a variety of genres. All skill levels welcome; beginners are encouraged.

Section Info: South County Senior Center | Fundamentals of Guitar | No class November 3 | Learn the essentials of acoustic guitar playing, including how to strum and/or pluck with basic chord changes and how to play simple one-line melodies. Explore the history and evolution of the acoustic guitar, pick up common guitar terminology and slang, and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions as you build confidence and skill. No prior experience is required. Note: Students should bring their own playable guitar to each session.
