Discuss how to build healthy soil for perennials, trees, shrubs, and vegetables and identify proper techniques for mulching, pruning, watering, and maintenance of a thriving landscape. HOR-902 SSAC-Basic Gardening

Section Info: Severn Senior Center | Basic Gardening | No class on May 23 | Students will learn basic gardening techniques for the home garden to take them through the gardening year, from design through planting, maintenance, harvest and ecological methods of putting the garden to bed in the fall. We will cover soil composition, planting, pruning, propagation and care of seedlings, pest control and plant disease.
