Section Info: Online | Music Masterpiece: Of thee I sing | In recognition of the achievements of Americas 250th anniversary, it is fitting that we trace the history of music in America: the music of the early colonists, the mountaineers, cowboys, Native Americans, Black Americans, the spirituals, camp meeting songs, band music, ragtime, musical comedy, and the European influence.
