Section Info: South County Senior Center | Wildfowl Carving | No class May 25 | This course provides detailed instruction on the design, production, and marketing of completed wildfowl carvings that are finished. Topics include techniques of carved and painted wildfowl carvings and business and marketing strategies. An orientation that includes safety procedures is given by the instructor before the class starts. The instructor will provide a supply list for the students.

HTH-901 COSR-Dance

Section Info: Omalley Senior Center | Dance | No class May 25 | This class is designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system plus tone muscles through aerobic dancing. It is a professionally choregraphed workout by Jacki Sorensen for healthy people who want to stay fit in a fun, effective way. Hand-held weights and floor work are used for a portion of the class to help improve strength and flexibility. Easy dance steps are taught and cued throughout. Upbeat music is used beginning with the warm-up to the cooldown. This is a beginner to intermediate class for students who enjoy a wide variety of music and movement.

Section Info: Online | Yoga Nidra | No class on May 25 | Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down comfortably with the support of blankets, pillows and other props. The practice invites our attention inward where we float between wakefulness and deep rest. You are guided through various heart-centered meditations. Yoga Nidra takes us into a natural state of homeostasis and balances the nervous system. Yoga Nidra is good for those that struggle with letting go, stress, anxiety and insomnia.
