Section Info: South County Senior Center | Fundamentals of Guitar | Learn the essentials of acoustic guitar playing, including how to strum and/or pluck with basic chord changes and how to play simple one-line melodies. Explore the history and evolution of the acoustic guitar, pick up common guitar terminology and slang, and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions as you build confidence and skill. No prior experience is required. Note: Students should bring their own playable guitar to each session.

Section Info: Regular attendance in online class sessions Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm-8:20pm is expected for this section. Students enrolled in online sections of COM-111 are required to record speech performances on video while wearing professional business attire and presenting in a professional setting, such as a classroom, office, conference room or a quiet study room on the second floor of the Truxal Library. Students will upload their speech videos to Canvas Studio and share access links in class discussion boards.
