Section Info: Severn Senior Center | Favorite Poems | Share, read, and discuss favorite poems, building on the Favorite Poem Project created by Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky. Poetry has a double nature: both inward, close to one's heart and memory, and outward, reflecting communal aspects of culture and public concerns. Because of poetry's dual nature, this course will incorporate participants' favorite poems as well as the work of poets from other countries around the world. We will map our personal and community search for meaning and connection.
