BPA-255 Accounting Information System

Survey accounting information systems (AIS) concepts and explore the following topics: transactional processing concepts and core AIS applications; control frameworks used to secure AIS applications and processes and strategies for implementing or upgrading AIS applications. Satisfy the requirements of the new CPA evolution model and/or gain additional knowledge in the area of the development of appropriate accounting systems. Prerequisite: BPA 241 and either CTA 100 or its equivalent, or permission of the department chair.
