English Language Skills for Technical Training | Explore English language skills, technical vocabulary, and communication strategies needed to participate effectively in classroom, laboratory and workplace-based technical training. Focus on understanding and using technical terminology; following spoken and written instructions; reading technical presentations, procedures, manuals, diagrams, forms, and on-screen messages; discussing equipment, processes, measurements, and system functions; asking and answering questions in technical settings; taking notes and technical messages; and completing structured workplace documents such as checklists, logs, forms and basic reports. Note: Intended as a general foundation for English learners entering a range of technical training environments, including- but not limited to-information technology, communications, software, electronics, maintenance, and other applied technical fields.
