Examine the design elements and principles that govern the creation of good floral compositions. Critique arrangements using industry-wide evaluation criteria. Perform in-depth analysis, refine compositions and correct weak design applications using applied knowledge of design principles. A portfolio consisting of 4 completed designs is required upon completion of the course. Students must provide their own flowers. This is an advanced-level class designed for students interested in certification or competition. Upon successful completion and scoring, students will be referred to AIFD for testing. This course is suitable for continuing education credit for AIFD $145+ includes a $30 fee. Prerequisites: CFD designate, FLR-345 Foundations of Floral Design 2, or permission from instructor.
