Integrative Strength and Flexibility II | Demonstrate techniques and functional movements that will improve flexibility, muscular strength and posture. Learn how to manage stress and enhance daily living through developing a heightened sense of body awareness and self-awareness. Note: This course teaches skills similar to those found in a yoga class. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Section Info: Online | Beginner Mat Yoga | This is a beginner and gentle yoga class. An introduction to yoga breathing and meditation is included. Gentle stretches and movements with these postures will help to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and range of motion. The yoga postures are introduced at a simple level; more challenging options are given for students with some experience. The postures are held for a short period followed by a relaxation posture. Practice of balance is also emphasized. Suggested equipment: a non-slip "sticky" mat and a belt, strap, or old tie. | Note: Beginner Mat Yoga. Attendance in online class sessions Fridays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. is mandatory for section 206.
