Section Info: Severn Senior Center | Chair Pilates | No class Nov. 28 | Participants will engage in Pilates exercises that can be performed on the mat or using a chair for seated or supported options. Ideal for anyone seeking a lower-impact class, this format allows you to work at your own pace while still gaining the core-strengthening and posture-enhancing benefits of Pilates. Participants who prefer to minimize or are unable to comfortably get up and down from the mat are encouraged to use the seated chair options, while others may incorporate mat-based exercises as appropriate. Pilates builds core strength and stability, enhances mobility, balance, and coordination, offers accessible movement options, and encourages confidence and sustainable movement habits.
