Provides an in-depth view of modern border and transportation security. Specific topics include security for seaports, ships, aircraft, trains, trucks, pipelines, buses, etc. Focuses on the technology needed to detect terrorists and their weapons as well as includes discussion on legal, economic, political, and cultural aspects of the problem. Lab fee $20. Prerequisite: HLS 111 or BPA 235 or permission of the director.
