Nursing Department at AACC

Anne Arundel Community College's nursing department enjoys an outstanding reputation. The nursing faculty consists of full- and part-time, caring and student-focused members who support over 200 students. Our students practice simulated nursing skills in a college lab with state-of-the-art equipment and for the past 10 years have exceeded national and state pass-rate averages.

The nursing department offers a Nurse Mentor and Retention Specialist (NMRS) to help students succeed in the program.

  • The NMRS provides education and emotional support for the nursing student
  • The NMRS develops creative strategies to assist students in test taking
  • The NMRS Web site provides access to test-taking strategies, weekly NCLEX review questions, study groups, and e-mail access to the mentor
  • Contact the NMRS at mbmorahan@aacc.edu.
