Transfer Scholarships

Transfer scholarships exist for those who plan to transfer to a four-year school once they complete their associate degree. Additional opportunities may exist at the four-year school you plan to attend. You should contact that school's financial aid office to learn the possibilities. 

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow scholars.

Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

Deadline: early February

Requirements:

  • Full-time sophomore or junior at a two- or four-year institution of higher learning
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree full time during the academic year
  • Committed to a career related to the environment, or a Native American committed to a career in tribal public policy or Native American health care
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national or resident alien

American Association of University Women Transfer Scholarship

Deadline: March

Requirements:

  • Current or former female AACC student pursuing a bachelor's degree and eligible for junior standing or higher at an accredited college or university for the coming fall term.
  • Resident of Anne Arundel County
  • Financial need
  • Shows evidence of professionalism via extracurricular activities (employment or volunteer)

Stevenson University, Transfer Fellowship

Deadline: Late March

University of Maryland, College Park, Academic Excellence Scholarship

Deadline: Early March

Requirements

  • Must have 56 credits or an associate degree
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Maryland resident

UMGC Maryland Community College Transfer Scholarship

Scholarships awarded for fall and spring terms

Requirements:

  • Completed associate degree
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen

University System of Maryland - Regents Scholarships

The University System of Maryland (USM) has had a long-standing commitment to the very brightest and most exceptional students. One of the ways in which this commitment is expressed is through the Regents Scholarships for Transfer Students. Two types of scholarships are available. Full scholarships cover the entire estimated cost of tuition, room, board, books and academic materials. Partial scholarships range from $3,000 to $5,000 per year for educational expenses.

Shared criteria:

  • Applications must be submitted to AACC's financial aid office by the deadline provided on the application.
  • Applications will be sent to all eligible students identified by the AACC financial aid office during the spring term.
  • Students who are transferring to schools in the University System of Maryland (USM) and are pursuing a bachelor's degree are eligible to apply.

Gross Regents Scholarship

Requirements:

  • 4.0 grade point average
  • Completion of an associate degree
  • Pursuing any major leading to a bachelor’s degree at any USM institution

Eligible students will have the application emailed to them from AACC's financial aid office.

Kelly Regents Scholarship

Requirements:

  • 3.8 or higher grade point average
  • Minimum of 56 credits completed after spring term
  • Pursing any major leading to a bachelor’s degree at any USM institution
  • Financial need demonstrated by submitting a FAFSA

Eligible students will have the application emailed to them from AACC's financial aid office.

Weinberg Regents Scholarship

Requirements:

  • 4.0 grade point average
  • Completion of an associate degree
  • Pursing any major on a part-time basis leading to a bachelor’s degree at any USM institution
