Section Info: Severn Senior Center | Drawing and Painting | Participants will complete several art projects of their own choosing, such as still life, portrait, and landscape, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. No previous art experience is required. Drawing basics such as line, value, light and shadow, linear perspective, and portrait proportions will be covered using pencil, eraser and drawing paper. Color basics such as primary, secondary, tertiary, complementary, and neutral colors, tint, tone, and shade will be covered using acrylic paint and oil pastel on drawing paper.

The music of Iceland will also be included. Their works include concertos, orchestral music, and operas. Throughout the course there will be both audio and video presentations representing the finest works of these varied composers.
