Section Info: Arnold Senior Center | One Stroke Painting | Explore one-stroke painting in this class for beginners and experienced students. Learn basic strokes such as flat, U, daisy, bud, teardrop, petal, shell, and leaf strokes while discussing materials and selling finished projects. Supplies will be reviewed in the first session; purchasing beforehand is not recommended.

Section Info: Brooklyn Park Senior Center | Acrylics | In this class, students will learn skills to paint a variety of nature scenes on elements from nature including rocks, driftwood, oysters' shells, crab shells and more. Advanced and beginner students are welcome. Class is designed to be a relaxing and fun exploration of painting and art! Please come to the first session to see examples of painted elements and discuss supplies. Acrylic paints and brushes are required for this class. All nature elements will be provided by the instructor.

Section Info: Online | Chinese Calligraphy | Chinese calligraphy is a refined art form with five main styles, from informal to elegant. Characters express balance, proportion, and rhythm through precise stroke order and spacing. Influenced by Zen Buddhism and Taoism, the practice is meditative. Students will also explore exhibition opportunities and potential markets for their work. | Note: Attendance in online class sessions Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. is mandatory for section 313.
