Section Info: Online | Chinese Calligraphy | Chinese calligraphy is a refined art form with five main styles-ranging from rough and informal to elegant and stylized. Each character expresses a moment through balance, proportion, and rhythm. Strokes follow a specific order, with even spacing and consistent sizing. The simplicity and meditative quality stem from Zen Buddhism and Taoism. Section Info: Online | Drawing | Improve your drawing skills by learning basic visual tools like the rules of thumb, relational measurement, and simplified measuring systems. The course includes exercises to enhance your drawing abilities. Students can choose to draw posted images or their own selections, primarily using pencils and charcoal, with optional watercolor pastels.
