Section Info: Annapolis Senior Center | Watercolors | No class May 19 | In this class, participants will learn foundational watercolor techniques while creating a new flower, landscape or painting each week. Each session focuses on one core watercolor skills, with step-by-step instruction and plenty of hands-on practice. The subject is pre-drawn on paper so participants can jump right into learning to paint. Participants will get to know their materials, how to make the most of them, and experiment with new ideas through different subjects, gaining both technical understanding and creative confidence. Section Info: Online | Watercolors | This intermediate to advanced watercolor class focuses on improving drawing skills, composition, and design through careful planning. Students will learn how to evaluate reference images and gain confidence with a three-step approach to watercolor. Techniques to avoid muddy colors will be covered, with demos and critiques to help students refine their work. Students will paint their own subjects or images chosen by the instructor, working from photographs and encouraged to take creative risks. | Note: Attendance in online class sessions Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. is mandatory for section 205.
