America Film- Love, Death, Afterlife | This course is specially designed for connoisseurs of film, we will watch and discuss movies from the 1930s onward that explore the themes of love, death, and the afterlife. You will see Topper, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Meet Joe Black, and many other classic movies that draw upon ancient themes like the myth of Orpheus and Euridice. This ten-week course is taught by Richard Striner, the first historian to write about this subject.
