Section Info: Note: Students registering for this course are required to attend an internship information session (date to be determined). Enrollment in this internship course requires that students hold an appropriate internship placement in order to receive course credit. Students will be provided with internship opportunities, however, it is the student's responsibility to be interviewed and accepted by the internship agency.

HTH-944 ONLN-Strength Training

Section Info: Online | Strength Training | This class is designed to be effective, not easy. We combine proper technique, coordination, balance, and flexibility to combat the loss of muscle mass associated with aging. Students will be challenged but are encouraged to work within their own limits. No prior weight training experience is needed. About 70% of the class is standing. Which includes wall exercise (plank, chair etc). 30% of the class is performed on floor which includes on and off the floor exercise/stretches. Suggested Equipment: Chair, Mat, wall space, medium to light weights * knee pads | Note: Attendance in online class sessions Fridays from 12:15-1:15 p.m. is mandatory for section 315.

America Film- Love, Death, Afterlife | This course is specially designed for connoisseurs of film, we will watch and discuss movies from the 1930s onward that explore the themes of love, death, and the afterlife. You will see Topper, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Meet Joe Black, and many other classic movies that draw upon ancient themes like the myth of Orpheus and Euridice. This ten-week course is taught by Richard Striner, the first historian to write about this subject.
