Section Info: Online | Beginner Mat Yoga | No class May 25 | This is a beginner and gentle yoga class. An introduction to yoga breathing and meditation is included. Gentle stretches and movements with these postures will help to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and range of motion. The yoga postures are introduced at a simple level; more challenging options are given for students with some experience. The postures are held for a short period followed by a relaxation posture. Practice of balance is also emphasized. Suggested equipment: a non-slip "sticky" mat and a belt, strap, or old tie.
