Survey British literature from the Anglo-Saxon period through the 18th century. Read selections from British writers of poetry, drama, and prose of the Anglo-Saxon, Medieval, Renaissance, Restoration and Neoclassical periods. Prerequisite: ENG 101/ENG 101A or permission of department. Note: Also offered as ENG 213H; credit is not given for both ENG 213 and ENG 213H.
