SPA-111 Elementary Spanish 1

Engage in conversations on and write about familiar topics using simple sentences in the present and near future. Identify main ideas in short texts. Compare cultural products, practices, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking communities. Note: Credit is not given for both SPA 111 and SPA 140 and also SPA 140H. This course is not recommended for students who are already proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
