LPN-180 Fund of Practical Nursing

Learn the role of the practical nurse as provider, manager and member within the discipline of nursing in a team relationship. Focus on the concepts, principles and skills used in assessing and providing basic care for patients. Opportunities to practice skills and demonstrate competencies are provided. Lab fee $400. Clinical fee $300. Prerequisite: BIO 231, 232 or equivalent, PSY 111 and Math General Education with grades of C or better. Acceptance into the Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

Section Info: This is a hybrid section with mandatory in-person, on-campus meetings Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30p-8:30p and an online component. Lab and clinical times will be determined by the department. A course materials fee of $1,059 plus tax for access to the Elsevier Library and a course materials fee of $100.00 plus tax for access to Trajecsys (12 months) will be charged to your student account when you register. Access to the Elsevier Library will be provided by your faculty member on the first day of class.
