Gain an introduction to members of the plant kingdom and their closest relatives. Learn the unique life strategies of plants that are the basis for their importance to humans and their role in shaping global ecology. Through an examination of plant form and function, students will learn how and why plant life defines the biological potential of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Lab fee $40. Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A and either eligibility for any general education math or a score of 27 or better on the Arithmetic Placement Test or a B or better in MAT 005.
