Study the history, culture, literature, and fine arts of France from pre-Roman times to the Renaissance. Discuss the influence of artistic and political movements on early French society. Taught in French. Prerequisite: FRE 212 or four years of high school French or permission of department chair. Note: Not for native speakers.
