CHE-213 Organic Chemistry 1

Study the chemistry of hydrocarbons and their simple derivatives, emphasizing their structures, properties and mechanisms of reactions. Use general laboratory techniques and procedures in organic chemistry and learn modern methods of analysis, including gas chromatography. Lab fee $70. Prerequisite: CHE 112 or CHE 112H. Note: Also offered as CHE 213H; credit is not given for both CHE 113 and CHE 213 or CHE 213 and CHE 213H.
