Study the current context, history, materials and techniques of oil painting. Learn about light and shadow while using a limited palette to paint simple still lifes. Develop an understanding of color harmony while creating complex paintings with a full palette. Lab fee $55. Prerequisite: ART 125 or permission of department chair.
