BPA-217 Small Business Accounting

Use Quickbooks® software (included with text, Windows®-based) for the study of computerized accounting systems with emphasis on the application of accounting theory and practice. Complete projects for both a service and merchandising company, including creating a company, recording transactions for revenue and expenses, completing payroll, adjusting accounts, reconciling bank accounts and closing the accounting cycle. Use a personal computer for downloading, copying, opening, naming, saving, compressing and uploading data files. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A or permission of department chair. Note: Students must have access to the Windows® operating system either on a personal computer or by using Boot Camp with a MAC.
