Anne Arundel Community College freshman goalkeeper Zane Saab (Crownsville, Md./Arundel HS) has been named an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American. Saab is the first All-American honoree from AACC since 2016.

Saab started 11 games for the Riverhawks, logging more than 831 minutes in net with a 2.27 goals against average, .772 save percentage and four shutouts. Saab also took home All-Region 20 honors and was the Region 20 DIII Men’s Soccer Player of the Month in September with a 0.51 GAA, .931 save percentage, and a pair of shutouts during the month.

“Zane was a consistent contributor to our success this season,” said Head Coach Nick Cosentino. “He is solid in the goal, is an excellent shot stopper and also is a great presence in the box. Zane knows the game and he helped lead our defense. He was a positive leader who always made a special effort to make his teammates better.”

AACC (8-8) won the Region 20 Division III title, the South District championship, and advanced to the NJCAA DIII Men's Soccer Championships for the third time in program history and first time since 2005. The eighth seed Riverhawks fell to three-time defending champion Dallas-Richland in the opening round before dropping a 4-3 game to Nassau in the consolation round.
