Section Info: Online | Watercolors | This intermediate to advanced watercolor class focuses on improving drawing skills, composition, and design through careful planning. Students will learn how to evaluate reference images and gain confidence with a three-step approach to watercolor. Techniques to avoid muddy colors will be covered, with demos and critiques to help students refine their work. Students will paint their own subjects or images chosen by the instructor, working from photographs and encouraged to take creative risks. | Note: Attendance in online class sessions Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. is mandatory for section 305.

Section Info: Pascal Senior Center | Watercolors | Open to all levels, this workshop sharpens drawing, composition, and image-selection skills, then applies a three-step watercolor method to boost confidence and banish muddy color. Students will learn painting techniques using various glazing techniques to acquire a glass-like finish or staining with acrylics paints and using additional methods by enhancing with antiquing and dry brushing. Glaze firing is provided at the center. Discussion of marketing strategies for selling ceramics.
