Lorna Maloney found a passion for teaching in law school. There, she earned several certificates of merit for top performance on exams, which led to a role as a teaching assistant. After graduation, she taught legal courses to college students.
That dedication to helping others extends beyond the classroom. Along with founding her own firm to support for-profit and nonprofit businesses and represent individuals in civil litigation and landlord-tenant matters, Maloney has a deep-rooted history of volunteer work. She has served as a volunteer attorney at organizations like the House of Ruth, Bread for the City and The Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. She is also a proud participant in the annual Lawyers Have Heart race to benefit the American Heart Association. If you take a class with her, she might recruit you to join her at the starting line!
The youngest of four siblings, Maloney was born to a Panamanian father and an American mother. A native of Chicago, she moved to Maryland in 2005 for her first job after law school and has called it home ever since.
