A Little More

Stacy Korbelak wasn’t looking for a new job, but a couple of colleagues saw a job listing at Anne Arundel Community College and encouraged her to apply. She joined the college in 2019 as a part-time faculty member teaching courses in business communications and human resources, and assistant dean of Business, Economics and Entrepreneurial Studies.

Korbelak’s students say she provides helpful feedback and engages them in real-world, practical assignments. She finds her students to be curious and dedicated, and she is inspired by their plans and hopes for the future.

Prior to joining AACC, she taught business and writing courses at Howard Community College for 14 years. She has a background in human resources and employee/labor relations in both the private and public sector and served as an appointed member of the Anne Arundel County school board for six years. She describes herself as a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University and AACC.
