America Film- Love, Death, Afterlife | No class on May 25 | This course is specially designed for connoisseurs of film, we will watch and discuss movies from the 1930s onward that explore the themes of love, death, and the afterlife. You will see Topper, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Meet Joe Black, and many other classic movies that draw upon ancient themes like the myth of Orpheus and Euridice. This ten-week course is taught by Richard Striner, the first historian to write about this subject.

Section Info: Omalley Senior Center | Tai Chi Intermediate/ Advanced | No class May 25 | This Intermediate to Advanced Tai Chi class is for students familiar with the Yang Simplified 24 Form. It builds on core principles by introducing the Yang Simplified 88 Form. Tai Chi uses slow, smooth movements to relax both body and mind, while improving general health, mobility, and balance. It also strengthens the cardiovascular and immune systems.

Section Info: Arnold Senior Center | Pilates | No class May 8 | Looking to strengthen your entire core? This classical Mat Pilates class targets your abdominal, back, and hip muscles while improving joint mobility and stability. You'll also enhance posture and flexibility. Jeanine may incorporate 1lb hand weights for chest and upper back exercises. Pilates are suitable for most students, though you should be able to get down to the floor and back up, as well as roll over for mat work. This is an intermediate-level class, but beginners with some exercise experience are welcome.
