Web design is more than making pretty web pages. It impacts everything we do in modern society, from finding a job to planning vacation to choosing a school. At AACC, you'll be taught by working professionals to design those interactions and build bold, engaging, compelling, accessible and user-centered web experiences for people. You'll develop concepts and skills needed to create a website and compete in today’s ever-changing digital industries. You’ll have the chance to intern, too, so you can build your skills and your résumé. By the time you finish, you’ll be ready to start a rewarding career or to transfer to a top four-year program.

You'll be prepared for transfer to a four-year web or graphic design program at a traditional or art school, by receiving substantial instruction and opportunity to build a strong portfolio. After graduation from a transfer institution, you will be eligible for an entry-level position in the web or graphic design industry.
The following certificate is designed for current professionals to update or add web design to their skill set.
If you already have a degree but want to make a career change, update your skills in the web design field or expand your focus from print, our certificate may be for you. You’ll get a solid introduction to the interactive design process from concept to completion. You’ll also be able to choose a focus in marketing or programming.
If you decide to earn your A.A. degree in web design, you can transfer to complete your four-year degree. We have partnerships and transfer agreements in place with many colleges and universities so you can easily transfer when you're ready. Transfer agreements (or “articulation agreements,” as they’re officially called) are formal arrangements between institutions that allow certain credits to transfer seamlessly from one school to the other.
