In partnership with Independent Electrical Contractors, Chesapeake (IECC), in Laurel, the Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical program is designed to prepare you to enter and succeed in a registered Electrical Apprenticeship program. You will learn from an industry professional while participating in classroom and online instruction with hands-on lab training at IECC. Along with gaining valuable industry knowledge, you will also obtain OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications, while preparing for entry into a registered apprenticeship. Job placement assistance is available upon successful completion of the program.
The program consists of three courses:

Upon successful completion of the program, you will obtain both the OSHA 10 – Safety Training and CPR and First Aid certifications. AACC Continuing Education Units will also be awarded.
The total program cost is $2,602 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees.
AACC is offering students in select programs the opportunity to enroll without the financial burden of paying for college. Eligible students can attend AACC with all tuition and fees paid through scholarships.
The Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical program is fully supported by the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) I and II Funds of the U.S. Department of Education. It is part of a financial assistance award totaling $364,000 for direct student aid for the fall 2021 term.
