A Little More

Since joining AACC in 2005, Nicole Williams has immersed herself in the college community in a variety of ways. She is chair of the Human Services department but also teaches in the Psychology department as an adjunct professor. She has served as chair of the search committee for the college’s chief equity and inclusion officer, president of the Teaching Faculty Senate and advisor for the Human Services Club. She won the Martin Luther King Zeitgeist Award for her work in helping the college achieve its equal opportunity and affirmative action goals.

Williams’ students describe her as having a big personality and lots of energy. She seeks to inspire and encourage her students and says that she loves empowering the next generation of future leaders. Her excellence in the classroom has been recognized through the NISOD Teaching Excellence Award and the National Role Model Award.

Outside of the classroom, the Baltimore native is a contemporary modern dancer.
