A Little More

As a former AACC graduate, Brandi Shepard is proud to have learned in the same space she currently teaches in. Since 2001, Shepard has been teaching in the programs of Architecture, Construction Management and Interior Design. Her areas of expertise fall within the fields of construction management, construction technology and architecture business practices.

Not only will her students learn about architecture, construction and design when they take one of her classes, but they also learn an abundance of life skills. Shepard encourages her students to reflect on their achievements and builds them up with the courage and perseverance needed to tackle their academic goals. She’s proud to see so many of them becomes licensed architects, certified interior designers and construction executives.

When she’s not teaching in the classroom, Shepard also works as a consultant with local architecture and contracting firms where she makes suggestions for improving inefficiencies in business operations and logistics. She also consults on business development and marketing with companies in the architecture and construction industry.

Much of Shepard’s spare time is spent enjoying the outdoors camping, kayaking, hiking and more. She is also passionate about color pencil art. “The outdoors brings me peace and connection to the environment. Color pencil art allows me to be creative and provides times for solace and contemplation,” she said.
