AACC's Nail Technician program training consists of four courses – two theory and two clinical. Upon successful completion, students will have fulfilled the required 250 training hours needed toward eligibility to sit for the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists Nail Technician exam.
$4,210 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees.
Students must be at least 16 to register for classes. In order to be eligible to take the license exam you must be at least 17 and have completed ninth grade or have a GED®.
Students who successfully complete the required courses will earn an AACC Continuing Education and Workforce Certificate, and fulfill the required 250 training hours needed toward eligibility to sit for the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists Nail Technician Exam.
The program is offered in a hybrid format. Some classes will be online and the others at the Center of Applied Technology North (CATN), 800 Stevenson Road, Severn, MD 21144.
AACC is an approved provider for nail technician continuing education licensure renewal courses by the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists. The state legislature requires licensees to complete six hours of approved continuing education as a condition of license renewal. Successfully completing these two courses will give you the six hours of continuing education needed.
Prerequisite: Students must be a current Maryland licensed limited nail technician, cosmetologist or senior cosmetologist.
The total cost for both classes for Anne Arundel County residents is $91, including tuition and fees.
Continuing education students don't need to apply for admission to AACC. Just check out our course search and choose a program or course that interests you, register and make your payment. Winter and spring term registration is now open. Registration for summer 2026 opens April 14!
