Congratulations!

You’ve worked hard to get to this point and we’re excited for your accomplishment. We look forward to seeing you walk across that stage, but even if you decide not to attend the ceremony, you’ll need to complete a graduation application to receive your degree or certificate by mail.

Are you receiving multiple degrees/certificates? Double congratulations! Be sure to complete a separate application for each degree or certificate.

If you previously applied for graduation and discovered that you did not fully complete your requirements, but will meet those requirements in another term, apply again by the deadline for the term you wish to graduate.

Apply for Graduation

MyAACC is by far the best and fastest way to go. Go to MyAACC, select the Self Services card and then click on Graduation Overview. You will receive an instant email receipt with important graduation information once you submit your online application.

When to Apply

For spring graduation:

Jan. 1-March 1

Deadline: March 1

For summer graduation:

June 1-July 1

Deadline: July 1

For fall graduation:

Aug.1-Nov.1

Deadline: Nov. 1

Commencement Ceremony

While students can graduate three times a year — spring, summer and fall — AACC holds only one commencement ceremony each spring.

Information will be mailed to summer and fall graduates and to prospective spring graduates in mid-March. The information is time sensitive and includes cap and gown purchasing deadlines.

Diplomas

Notation of spring graduation will be reflected on transcripts mid-June. Diplomas will be mailed by July 1 to all successful spring graduation candidates.

Graduation Honors

Graduation honors will be awarded to associate degree recipients whose adjusted cumulative GPAs are as follows:

3.4 to 3.59 cum laude

3.6 to 3.79 magna cum laude

3.8 to 4.0 summa cum laude

Phi Theta Kappa and Chi Alpha Epsilon

Graduates who have been inducted into the Omicron Theta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and/or the Epsilon Chi chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society will have a written notation on their diplomas.
