In collaboration with internal and external partners, the Office of Student Engagement encourages student learning and engagement through diverse activities designed to help all students realize their full potential. The OSE promotes student growth and development by providing opportunities for student organization and leadership development, participation in campus governance, social and cultural development, and advocacy.

As director for the Office of Student Engagement, Leon is responsible for the overall design and implementation of programming that promotes student growth and development inside and outside of the classroom. Leon joined the field of higher education following the completion of his undergraduate degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and graduate degree from West Virginia University.  Leon enjoys music, family, and all things food! Feel free to stop by his office to talk about how the Office of Student Engagement can support your academic and social development as a RIVERHAWK!


Leslie Cook

In Leslie's role as Program Coordinator she oversees the Leadership Challenge Program and serves as advisor to the Student Government Association. In addition to working with SGA, Leslie oversees the student organizations on campus and the finances. After attending Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree and Angelo State University for her graduate degree, Leslie can be found on Saturdays in the fall watching Texas college football. She also enjoys volunteering in her free time and sits on a women's volunteer organization management board. Stop by and say hi to find out how to get involved on campus!

Neena's role within Student Engagement focuses on campus wide programming with CAB our Campus Activities Board. As CAB's advisor, she also works with college committees on theme months, making sure our students feel represented and heard. Neena joins us from New Jersey where she completed her undergraduate degree at Drew University and her graduate degree at Rider University. She is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys spending time outside with friends and family. Feel free to stop by a CAB general meeting to find out what is happening on campus or stop into her office to talk about events that you would like to see!
